Join CA Duck Days in celebrating its 19th year on February 21 and February 22! The wetlands and wildlife festival in the heart of the Pacific Flyway features a wide
variety of field trips, workshops and special activities for people of all ages.
California Duck Days officially begins with a Welcome Reception on Friday evening, February 21, at the Davis Art Center.
The event, which runs from 5:30 to 7:30pm, is free to the public. It will feature an outstanding wildlife art exhibit created by the high school students of the Yolo County, as well as a display of California Junior Duck Stamp winners.
There will also be good food and entertainment!
The California Ducks Days festival on Saturday, February 22 will offer over 15 field trips to sites around the region, such as tours to see the elk at Grizzly Island
and a raptor identification trip.
On-site workshops include waterfowl identification, wood duck box building and duck calling. In addition, special activities such as live raptors from the CA Raptor Center, a fly tying table hosted by the Fly Fishers of Davis, and a falconry demonstration in the field.
The Duck Days Exhibits will have interactive displays from 20 area environmental organizations and wll feature crowd-pleasing Mallard ducklings for gentle handling.
Whole Foods Market in Davis will provide healthy food on-site for purchase. The chef from Whole Foods will also conduct three
duck cooking demonstrations throughout the day.
